Leonardo Morais

Leonardo is a former postgraduate student at the University of Queensland under the supervision of Professor Andrew White.

His research focused on Quantum Optics, Foundations of Quantum Mechanics, and Quantum Information.

He sought to isolate and characterise new quantum emitters in Silicon Carbide (Si-C); Develop photonic-crystal cavities with integrated Si-C emitters; and Realise room-temperature Cavity Quantum Electrodynamics devices based on Si-C emitters.

Leonardo completed his PhD in December 2023. His thesis title was Probing the Unknown: Measurements in the Quantum Realm
