2021 was another great year for EQUS: our members continued to produce world-class research, translate EQUS discoveries into practical applications and prototypes, and deliver an impactful program of outreach and engagement activities.
Operationally, our biggest ticket item for 2021 was our midterm review. This offered us an opportunity to reflect on our progress and our achievements and, through the feedback gained from the review, develop a plan that will allow us to build on our strengths for our remaining three years of operation. 2021 also saw substantial changes to EQUS’ leadership and structure: a new Chief Operating Officer, new Deputy Directors, new Node Directors, five new Chief Investigators, two new flagship research programs, and the introduction of Student and Research Fellow Node Representatives to give a greater voice to these cohorts.
Looking to 2022, we're excited to implement many of the recommendations from the midterm review, ensuring that the second half of EQUS is even more successful than the first half.
