EQUS Annual Workshop 2022

When: 5–7 December 

Where: Rydges, Newcastle, NSW and online

Owing to the limited number of in-person places, it is expected that those registered to attend in person attend the full 2.5 days of the workshop.  Similarly, virtual attendees will not be able to attend any part of the workshop in person.

Getting to and from Rydges, Newcastle: Airport transfers from Sydney and Newcastle airport will be available depending on the day and time you are travelling.

For those of you who are taking their car, valet parking is available costing $19 p/day.

Program: The schedule is as follows: 

Day 1: 9:00 am–6:30 pm AEDT, with dinner and trivia 7:30 pm–9:30 pm at The Lucky Hotel Newcastle
Day 2: 9:00 am–4:15 pm AEDT, with EQUS Awards Dinner 7.30 pm–10.30 pm
Day 3: 9:00 am–2:00 pm AEDT

Health, safety and wellbeing: If attendees are unwell or have any COVID-19 symptoms, such as a cough or fever, in the days leading up to the workshop, please advise us via email to engage@equs.org and do not attend the event.  Similarly, if attendees become unwell or have any COVID-19 symptoms during the event, please advise a member of the operations team and leave the venue as soon as possible.

Competitions: There are three ways in which EQUS Research Fellows and Students can showcase their research during the EQUS Annual Workshop: in the poster, three-minute thesis or pitch competitions.
