Ting Rei Tan

Dr. Ting Rei Tan is a quantum physicist at the Quantum Control Laboratory (QCL) at the University of Sydney. He is a postdoctoral fellow of the Sydney Quantum Academy.

Ting Rei was trained under the supervision of David Wineland (Nobel Prize in Physics, 2012) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and earned his PhD degree from The University of Colorado – Boulder.

He was awarded the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellow in Singapore (limited to two recipients per year) to develop and advance a quantum-enhanced optical atomic clock based on lutetium ion.
