A/Prof. Matt Woolley

A/Prof Woolley has published seminal results in the fields of quantum optomechanics, circuit QED, quantum transport, and quantum control theory. In quantum optomechanics his work has enabled novel quantum measurements and quantum state preparation of mechanical oscillators. In circuit QED his work has enabled novel demonstrations of interference in microwave quantum optics. In quantum transport he has contributed to the development of a general theory of electron transport in the presence of quantum microwave fields. His work has focused on the design and thorough analysis of novel engineered quantum systems, enabling extensive collaborations with leading experimental groups. He will continue to work in optomechanics and circuit QED in collaboration with CI Milburn.
