EQUS researchers awarded 2022 Discovery Project and DECRA grants

Congratulations to EQUS Chief Investigator Prof. Stephen Bartlett, Associate Investigators A/Prof. Alexei Gilchrist, Dr Kavan Modi and Dr Mikolaj Schmidt, and Research Fellow Dr Dominic Williamson on their successful 2022 ARC Discovery Projects and Discovery Early Career Researcher Awards (DECRAs).

Stephen is a co-investigator on a Discovery Project to develop theoretical and numerical tools to simulate intermediate-scale quantum computer circuits using existing computers.

Alexei and Kavan are co-investigators on a Discovery Project to design optimal realistic measurement procedures for near-term noisy quantum devices using resource theory.

Mikolaj was awarded a DECRA to build a complete and scalable platform for quantum acoustics, ready for immediate deployment in hybrid quantum computing architecture.

Dominic was awarded a DECRA to discover new materials and design better components for quantum computers using three-dimensional topological phases.
