EQuS Idea Factory is an initiative that aims to bring young researchers from all the different EQuS nodes together. The focus is on collaboration and research communication.
During three days we will meet on North Stradbroke Island to establish possible interdisciplinary research projects. At the workshop, every participant will be invited to give a two minute introduction on their work. Attendants will be divided into smaller workgroups where each group will develop a possible collaborative research project. Science communication training will be part of the experience, leading up to the final presentation of your ideas to a small panel of judges.
The workshop is an excellent opportunity to meet other young EQuS researchers, learn more about science communication and proposal writing, and to put forward new ideas and projects.
The number of participants is limited. EQuS attendees should note that one student/postdoc per CI will be guaranteed a place. Please consult with your research group before registering.
Domestic flights and bus transfers for EQuS students and researchers will be booked centrally. Non-EQuS attendees will organise their own transport. Registration, accommodation and food is covered from March 6-8 for all attendees.
The Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems (EQUS) acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and their continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and to Elders past and present.
