EQUS Q&A 2019

The EQUS Q&A series at the University of Queensland showcases current EQUS research. 

The sessions are usually held during lunchtime (12pm start time) in Room 312, Parnell Building (food provided, BYO beverage).

Each month will be organised by a different research group.

2019 schedule: 

  • Tuesday, April 16 - Dr Michael Vanner, NMI Prize 2018 presentation
  • Friday, May 17 - Prof Kai Bongs

UK National Quantum Technology Hub in Sensors and Metrology

Prof Bongs will provide an overview of the UK National QT programme and the activities within the UK National QT Hub in Sensors and Metrology. He will introduce the physics of atom interferometers and optical clocks and discuss applications. These will include underground mapping for urban infrastructure, monitoring brain function for healthcare and  clocks for RF sensing.
