The Python Workshop is an annual event run by EQUS, designed to introduce Python programming to researchers working in quantum science and quantum computing. The workshop will be delivered by Alan Robertson, a member of the EQUS Mentoring and Career Development Committee. Alan currently lectures in the School of Computer Science at the University of Sydney.
Where: The Python workshop will be held in person from the University of Sydney, H69.01.142 Business School, Codrington Building.BS, Codrington Computer Lab (3) 142.
Online attendance will be available via ZOOM.
When: Thursday 29 September and Friday 30 September 2022 from 10 am–5 pm (Sydney time).
Who: The Python Workshop is suitable for any EQUS researchers who would like to learn Python programming, although it is particularly relevant to PhD and Master's students and Postdoctoral Research Fellows.
What: The sessions will be a hands-on workshop, held in the style of tutorials so that participants can code in real time. For in person attendance, we provide computers for every attendee. For online attendance, to participate fully in this workshop, it is recommended that attendees have git, Python and a text editor installed before the first session.
