Andrea Tabacchini

Andrea was a postgraduate student at Macquarie University currently undertaking a PhD alongside Assoc. Professor Gabriel Molina-Terriza.

His aim was to realize the first source of 4-photon spatially entangled states from spontaneous parametric down-conversion in a non-linear crystal. The quantum light will be then utilized for interaction with nanostructures such as Nano holes and/or Nano spheres.

Andrea’s objective is the characterization of states of 4 photons which are entangled in a spatial degree of freedom. Quantum effects coming from the interaction between entangled states and Nano holes.
