Prof. Matthew Davis

Professor Matthew Davis is interested in the nonequilibrium dynamics of quantum systems, including quantum gases, superfluids and Bose-Einstein condensates. He did his undergraduate studies in physics at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, before completing his PhD at the University of Oxford in 2001 under the supervision of Professor Keith Burnett.  He started at the University of Queensland in 2002 as a UQ postdoctoral fellow, and was an ARC Queen Elizabeth II Fellow from 2010-2014. 

Prof. Davis collaborates with the physicists in the EQUS UQ Bose–Einstein Condensate Laboratory, and the UQ Superfluid Physics Facility
