EQUS Researchers Featured on the Cover of Applied Physics Letters

We are thrilled to announce that EQUS members Elrina Hartman, Michael Tobar, Ben McAllister, Jeremy Bourhill, and Maxim Goryachev have been featured on the cover of Applied Physics Letters for their recent article, Precision Multi-Mode Microwave Spectroscopy of Paramagnetic and Rare-Earth Ion Spin Defects in Single Crystal Calcium Tungstate.

This research showcases cutting-edge advancements in microwave spectroscopy, focusing on spin defects in calcium tungstate. By exploring these spin defects, the team opens up new avenues for precision measurements and potential applications in quantum technology. This is a tremendous honour, recognising the significance and impact of their work in the field.

Congratulations to the team on this achievement! We look forward to seeing how this research continues to contribute to innovations in quantum science.
