Elrina Hartman

Elrina has joined the UWA node in the QDM Laboratory as a PhD candidate in 2021.  She completed a Master of Physics by coursework and thesis in December, 2020, supervised by Professor Mike Tobar exploring a novel approach to WIMP detection via the characterisation of high Q whispering gallery modes in cylindrical crystals. The title of her research is 'Dark Matter Search: Towards New Methods of Cryogenic WIMP detection'. Elrina completed her Bachelor of Science in December 2018 majoring in Physics with a second major in Chemistry. She then joined EQUS as a summer scholarship student in January 2019 before commencing Masters.
