Kwan Goddard-Lee

Kwan is an honours student at the University of Queensland under the supervision of postdoctoral research fellow Dr Tyler Neely.

He is currently working on experimental superfluid dynamics, specifically the dynamics of vortices in a Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC). This will hopefully lead to a better understanding of turbulence which is a complex classical phenomenon which still isn't fully understood. As Sir Horace Lamb said "I' am an old man now, and when I die and go to heaven, there are two matters on which I hope for enlightenment. One is quantum electrodynamics and the other is the turbulent motion of fluids. About the former, I am really rather optimistic."

Qualifications:
BSci, University of Queensland (2017) BMath, University of Queensland (2017)
