Born and raised in New Haven, CT, USA, Rebecca earned her BSc and MSc in pure mathematics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), with a concentration on algebra. In January 2024, she joined the quantum theory group at the University of Sydney as a PhD candidate under the supervision of Prof Stephen Bartlett and Prof Andrew Doherty. Rebecca worked on quantum error correction with quantum LDPC codes.
