Raymond completed his PhD with Dr Chris Baker at the University of Queensland. His PhD research studied superfluid helium, focusing on using nanofabrication and quantum optics to measure exotic behaviour in thin films of superfluid helium. Prior to his PhD, Raymond carried out his honours research at RMIT university in theoretical physics, investigating error correction in quantum computing.
