Peter is a lecturer at the University of Queensland. Within EQUS, he researched new materials and fabrication protocols for better superconducting qubits and resonators. Peter is a scanning probe microscopy enthusiast with expertise ranging from STM/AFM at low temperatures and high magnetic fields to terahertz scanning near-field optical microscopy (THz SNOM). Before joining UQ, his research in Austria and Germany used scanning probes to investigate single atom magnetism, molecular motor dynamics, and oxide materials. His previous positions included Universitätsassistent at University of Graz, Austria, and Humboldt Fellow and Postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research, Germany.
