Nathan was a postgraduate student at Macquarie University and the University of Queensland, and then remained at the University of Queensland as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. His research focused on the intersection of quantum mechanics and gravitational physics. His PhD was titled ‘Testing the AdeS3/CFT2 Correspondence: an Entanglement Renormalization Approach’.
