Mingyu started her research journey as an experimentalist in nanoscience but found her passion in quantum computing. She has been focusing more on the mathematical part since then. She began with quantum machine learning and moved to topics more intimately connected with the practical realities of the current stage of quantum devices, like error mitigation. Mingyu’s focus was large-scale quantum tomography.
