Ignasius joined the UWA node of EQUS in Semester 2, 2018 as a Master of Professional Engineering student. In July 2019 he completed his Engineering research project under the supervision of Dr John McFerran, on the topic ‘Electronics for Optical Atomic Spectroscopy’. The project involves designing a low-cost boxcar averager to introduce an atom-normalisation scheme in the clock signal detection of the atomic clock. Ignasius graduated in 2019.
