Dr
Diego Nicolas Bernal Garcia
Research Fellow
Research Fellow 2021-2022
University of New South Wales Canberra
Diego finished his PhD in Physics at the National University of Colombia (2021), where he also studied his BSc in Physics (2014). He was a Research Fellow at the School of Engineering and Information Technology (SEIT) at UNSW Canberra, under the supervision of Dr Matthew J. Woolley. His research interests include the application of quantum physics in the development of new technologies, especially those related to sensing, communication and information processing. His research is focused on measurement and control in quantum optomechanics and cavity quantum electrodynamics, and on the development of theoretical techniques for the study of open quantum systems.
