Dr. Juan Loredo

Juan is a postgraduate student at the University of Queensland currently undertaking a PhD with Professor Andrew White.

His research focuses on the development of a multi-photon sources from a quantum dot and its use to perform complex tasks in quantum information processing, for example, boson sampling. Proving then that it is possible to overcome major obstacles present in parametric down-conversion, the current premier photon source.

Juan hopes to invent the world’s first multi-photon source generated from a solid-state device.
