Gustavo Café de Miranda

I am a Phd candidate at the Quantum Control Lab at the University of Sydney, working on Experimental Penning traps. My research focuses on multi layer trapping for Quantum Simulation. I obtained a MSc degreee in Physics by the Federal University of the São Paulo ABC region, my research was mostly on Quantum Control (RF Pulse engineering) and Machine learning for Quantum Information Processing in NMR Devices, I am also a former bachelor in both Social Sciences and Physics at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, both in Brazil, where I I have done undergraduate level research in optimization (mostly for graph/networks). My academical career path has also led me through IMPA (Brazil's leading mathematics institute) and the University of Freiburg (Germany). Non-researchwise I first worked in data science and, later, in web development for start up companies focused in cryptocurrency.
