Diego Nicolas Bernal Garcia

I recently finished my PhD in Physics at the National University of Colombia (2021), where I also studied my BSc in Physics (2014). Currently, I am a Research Fellow at the School of Engineering and Information Technology (SEIT) at UNSW Canberra, under the supervision of Dr Matthew J. Woolley.

I am interested in the application of quantum physics in the development of new technologies, especially those related to sensing, communication and information processing.

My current research is focused on measurement and control in quantum optomechanics and cavity quantum electrodynamics, and on the development of theoretical techniques for the study of open quantum systems.
