Charlotte Ward

Charlotte is an undergraduate student undertaking a research project at the University of Sydney.

Her research focuses on the development of useful features and improvements to the Yb+ Paul Trap of the Quantum Control Laboratory by designing and producing analogue electronics which manipulate ions in the trap.

Charlotte hopes to help improve the trap for experimental work into the control of Yb+ ions as qubits through improved systems that count and display information about photon emission from the trap and by achieving improved control over the number of ions present in the trap.
