Celebrating the Legacy of EQUS: Enabling the Quantum Future
The ARC Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems (EQUS) was established to tackle some of the most challenging and exciting questions at the forefront of quantum science. Over a decade of collaboration, innovation, and discovery, EQUS built a national capability in quantum engineering—laying the foundations for Australia’s leadership in the Second Quantum Revolution.
This legacy brochure reflects on the collective achievements of the EQUS community: world-class research, breakthrough technologies, a thriving culture of translation and impact, and a commitment to training the next generation of quantum leaders. It also honours the partnerships—with industry, government, and international collaborators—that made this work possible.
As EQUS concludes its funding cycle, this is not an ending, but a milestone. The ideas, people, and platforms it nurtured continue to drive Australia’s quantum momentum.
