PhD Student 2021-2025

University of Queensland

Tim was a PhD student at the University of Queensland, supervised by Prof Warwick Bowen. His research aimed to develop a nanomechanical computing architecture, which uses mechanical vibrations (phonons) instead of electricity to store and transmit information. Compared to traditional electronics, phononic computers promise tiny power consumption and radiation resistance.
