Research Fellow

PhD Student 2019-2024, Research Fellow 2024-2025

University of Queensland

Soroush was a Research Fellow and former PhD student in the Queensland Quantum Optics lab . The goal of his PhD was to observe macroscopic quantumness at room temperature, which will have potential applications in quantum sensing. Soroush’s academic journey started with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and continued with a Master’s degree in physics from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, during which he did some research on quantum foundations. He then worked on quantum key distribution before joining the UQ PhD programme in 2019.
