Sayantan joined the University of Queensland as a PhD student under the supervision of Prof Jacqui Romero and Prof Timothy Ralph. His research interests include optical beam shifts, optical weak measurement, quantum information and quantum foundations. At UQ, he worked on reconciling Bohmian mechanics with special relativity and hoped to develop the associated experimental techniques.
