Raji was a PhD student working with CI Thomas Volz and A/Prof Alexei Gilchrist at Macquarie University. Her PhD research focused on Quantum Polaritonics with fiber-based semiconductor microcavity systems. Raji completed Master of Technology (MTech) in Optoelectronics and Optical Communication and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering. She worked in the Low-Temperature Cavity QED Lab at CSIRO Lindfield.

Raji was also a member of the MQ Centre for Quantum Engineering.
