Kerstin researches quantum computing. She joined the EQUS Macquarie University node in 2022, where she worked with Chief Investigator Professor Gavin Brennen. Kerstin did her PhD, ‘Quantum neural networks’, at Leibniz University Hannover, Germany, in the area of quantum machine learning, where she proposed a quantum neural network architecture and suiting algorithms for supervised and semi-supervised training. She also holds a Masters of Physics (2015) and a Bachelor of Physics from Leibniz University Hannover.
