Kaumudibikash’s research is focused on quantum information. The world of quantum physics offers many counter-intuitive experiences that sparked curiosity among physicists since the last century. Driven by this curiosity he started his PhD career with interest lying in the overlap of both experiment and theory, working on experimental development of indefinite causal order – scenario where events can take place without the constraint of a fixed causal order. He showed the communication advantage of such an indefinite causal order. He developed a strong interest in the quantum information theory, also known as quantum Shannon theory. With this motivation, Kaumudibikash’s research interest moved towards developing the information theoretical aspect of quantum causal structure.
