Abhishek was a PhD student at Macquarie University, working under the supervision of A/Prof Alexei Gilchrist. His research interests were in quantum information, quantum optics, and quantum computing. He studied quantum optical systems with a focus on implementing quantum information processing tasks. In addition, he had experience working with entangled photons in the lab and intended to work closely with experimental setups during his PhD.
