The mentoring program is an important part of EQUS’ career development program. In 2022, EQUS transitioned to the Mentorloop platform; in June 2023, we championed the launch of a joint ARC Centre of Excellence Mentorloop platform, which is now supporting mentor–mentee matches across 12 Centres of Excellence.

In total, the new platform has 339 participants, 50 of which are EQUS members and 81% of which are matched with a mentor or mentee. Feedback from participants has been positive, with a mentoring quality score of 4.6 out of 5.

We will continue to invite new EQUS members to join the program and will follow-up with those who were involved in the previous mentoring program but haven’t yet signed up to the new one. In 2024, we plan to reach out to EQUS partners from academia and industry who might be interested in joining the program.
