G’Day everyone,
As you know, EQUS officially wrapped up at the end of May. While that marked the formal conclusion of the Centre, it’s also a moment to pause, reflect—and most of all, to say thank you.
Thank you to our researchers, students, professional staff, partners, and collaborators. Thank you to the ARC and all our stakeholders for your support.
EQUS was always more than a Centre. It was a family, a network, a shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in quantum science.
And while we've farewelled the EQUS brand, we haven't said goodbye to the work, the people, or the vision.
One of the most meaningful parts of these final months has been the opportunity to come together at our Showcase events across the nodes.
I had the privilege of attending the celebrations in Sydney, Perth and Brisbane—and each one was a powerful reminder of what we’ve built together.
Across these events, I saw the full spectrum of EQUS: brilliant science, committed collaboration, and a deep sense of community. From early-career researchers to industry partners, alumni to students—it’s clear the EQUS spirit is alive and well.
We’ve trained the next generation. We’ve created new pathways between research and real-world impact. And we’ve formed lasting connections that will continue well beyond the life of the Centre.
That’s our legacy. Not just the science, but the people—and the momentum we carry forward, together.
So what’s next? Momentum.
The research continues. The collaborations deepen. The impact grows. And the EQUS spirit lives on in new projects, companies, and connections.
If you’ve been part of EQUS—whether as a student, collaborator or supporter—know that your role in this story doesn’t end here.
We’re still here. We’re still building. And we’re still shaping the future of quantum science in Australia and beyond.
Thank you for being part of this incredible journey.
See you in the next chapter.
