The EQUS Translational Research Program, led by Chief Investigator Prof. Rubinsztein-Dunlop and Dr Michael Harvey, was proud to sponsor and co-host the Quantum West: Translation & Industry Showcase event on the 21 November with The University of Western Australia. This event was aimed at highlighting Western Australia’s strengths in the quantum technology sector and its role in Australia’s future quantum economy.
The program featured exciting talks and discussion from Australia’s Chief Scientist Cathy Foley, Minister for Science and Innovation Hon. Stephen Dawson MLC, UWA Vice Chancellor Amit Chakma and WA Chief Scientist Peter Klinken, as well as several of EQUS’ own research talent, including Research Fellow Dr Jeremy Bourhill, PhD student Emma Paterson and Associate Investigator Dr David Gozzard. Afterwards, attendees were treated to a networking event featuring 25+ exhibits of quantum technology from all around Australia.
