Funding success for EQUS researchers
Congratulations to EQUS Associate Investigators Dr Ting Rei Tan and Dr Zixin Huang on their successful ARC Future Fellowship and Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) grants.
Ting Rei was awarded a Future Fellowship to overcome challenges in scaling up atom-based quantum computers and advance quantum clocks, by developing dual-species atomic instrumentation paired with precision laser systems and augmented by quantum control engineering protocols.
Zixin was awarded a DECRA to design large-scale, quantum-enabled imaging systems that will boost the resolution of state-of-the-art instruments by 3–5 orders of magnitude, by developing new methods for two- and three-dimensional imaging, and precision measurements that can reach fundamental limits.
